Set up links between your website and social networks. If you haven't already done it, make a page for your business on Facebook, Twitter, Foursquare, or other social networks to spread the word. All are free.

If your business is local there are a lot of local directories where you can get listed as well. Yelp, Google Places, Merchant Circle are a few that come to mind. All of the above are also free for the basic listing.

Hi elizabethjj555

Sometimes, getting users to look at your website can be a frustrating exercise. I agree with Margie that using Social Media channels such as Twitter, Facebook and Foursquare are great ways to promote your site online and generate traffic.

A great way to add fresh content to your site is with a blog. A blog makes it easy for you to quickly add new content to your site to update your site visitors who have subscribed to your blog, and the search engines like to see new content being added to a site as well. We have an online tutorial that can help you get started with your blog: Blogging with Yola.

Another useful tool is Google Webmaster. Google Webmaster is a tool that helps you to manage Google's indexing of your site and also improve the traffic to your website. We have a handy tutorial on how to set up Google Webmaster and submit a sitemap.

One last thing you may want to do, if you have not done so already, is to share your site on this forum post: Let's shout out and share our sites!.

Most of all, you have to keep on promoting your site and keep on updating it with new content. Your perseverance will pay off eventually.

Good luck with this! We wish you all the best.
