My domain is pointed to Yola, even gets the message "Your domain is pointed to Yola." But when I try to add that domain to my site, I get the message "Your domain is not pointed to Yola. Anyone know how to fix this issue?

Hello David,

Can you tell us your domain name please? I can look at the DNS settings remotely and see if all is correctly set.

Hi David

I have just replied to your email regarding this question.

I checked your domain, bethelparkersburg.org, and it looks as if the A Records had not yet changed. It can take up to 48 hours for the changes to complete so you may need to give it more time.

Let us know if you need more help.

I first changed the A Records over a week ago. I just navigated to our domain, bethelparkersburg.org and it goes directly to http://184.72.229.176/, Yola's page with the message "Your domain is pointing to Yola." Clearly the A records have changed.

However, Yola's domain registration page still comes back with the error "Your domain is not pointing to Yola."

The question I asked in "DNS Catch-22" is not answered!! I first changed the A Records over a week ago. However, Yola's domain registration page still comes back with the error "Your domain is not pointing to Yola." Please look deeper and resolve this issue. I notice that several others have reported the same issue and that Yola has finally resolved the problem. Please don't mark this as solved until it actually works.

Hi David

We investigated the problem in more detail and are still seeing that your domain is displaying a different IP address than the one you added to your domain record for pointing to Yola.

Our engineers have been notified about this issue and will do some further investigation.

We will update you as soon as we have more information. Our apologies for the delay in the meantime.

Hi David

An update from the engineers: they have asked that you please try to re-add the domain records again as it has not worked the first time.

Thanks
Nazlie

I've tried again this morning. When I navigate to bethelparkersburg.org, that takes me to http://184.72.229.176/. Please test this out yourself. It works. It it Yola's page. It says "Your domain is pointing to Yola!"

Then I go to My Yola, Domains, "Want to keep your domain registered with another registrar," enter the name of the domain "bethelparkersburg.org," and then get the message "Your domain is not pointed at Yola."

I've done this over and over, day after day. This is very frustrating, and I keep getting the same reply from support. Please fix the problem.

Hi david,

There is something going wrong with the propagation of the records. Here's a shot of the DNS settings looked at with a third party tool.

This is being updated every 30 minutes so there's something wrong between the origin and the propagation. Yola would be picking up on the same data but the IP's are wrong.

Can you just see and capture the DNS settings from your registrar's DNS and see if it's holding the new settings or dropping back to older settings?
