I want buy my domain name, but it says that I need to make sure that my company name is legal and the owner of my domain name. I have checked and no one has my domain name with .com suffix, but has a .co.uk suffix. Do I need to register my company name as a real business?
I will be selling items from my site.

Hi there,

I am not fully aware of the legal implications of company names but as far as I know you can buy your domain name and use it for your site and sell from it.

I hope this helps.

They may still be registered as a business....Here in the USA I am registered with our federal govt and they issued me a tax ID number....I also have a state resale tax exemption cert...I have no idea what exactly is required in the UK but it can't hurt to check with a local accountant that would know what is required.
