PayPal will work in your Store currency.

You will need to make a setting change within your Store for the Sandbox. Here's the Ecwid thread on this process: http://www.ecwid.com/forums/showthrea...

How do I do this please? very confusing

Testing Your PayPal Calls

After you've set up your test accounts and obtained your API credentials, you're ready to start making calls to the Sandbox test environment.

The following Express Checkout call makes use of a cURL command that you should be able to execute (if cURL is installed on our computer) from the command line. Simply replace the email addresses and credential values in the command with those from your Sandbox account, and see if you can complete a successful call.
curl -s --insecure https://api-3t.sandbox.paypal.com/nvp -d "USER=YourUserID&PWD=YourPassword&SIGNATURE=YourSignature

Hi Sue,

here's an easy instruction for your sandbox:

In order to test PayPal using your test account go to Ecwid control panel → System Settings → Payments find PayPal method in the list and click “Enable” link opposite it. Then click “Account details” link, enter email address of your PayPal account in the field, check “This is a sandbox account” (if you use test account) and click “Save”.

In order to test PayPal Express Checkout go to Ecwid control panel → System Settings → Payments → Paypal Express Checkout and enter required information there (don’t forget to check “This is sandbox account”, if you use your test account) and click “Save”.

Once you add this info PayPal and PayPal Express Checkout payment methods will appear and you will be able to test them.

If your sandbox is turned on then you can run trial purchases through. The Store will perform as it would for a real run but it won't bill the transaction. Everything else acts as it would in a live session.

If this works and you run a few permutations and combinations and you don't need to fine tune, then you can switch the sandbox off and it will perform in the real world by taking transactions etc from customers.

This seems to be ok apart from it hasn't appeared yet on my online store as an order - should it do that straight away?

I don't think so. It tests the live processes but I don't think it tests the backend. No real order has been generated. It stops in the sandbox so that you don't go ahead and send out the order.
