Hi Leon,

I realize you are looking for information from Yola customers about their personal experiences, but I did want to make sure you are familiar with the resources we offer on this topic as well. You can check out out tutorials on promoting your website here. We are also partnered with SiteWit who offer SEM services that can have a big impact on sending qualified traffic your way.

Hopefully that will get you started and other members can jump in and share their experiences with you as well!

Hi Leon - I do a website for a friend who does catering: gourmet2goabq.com - she is lately having good success by posting her availability on a site that is exclusively for weddings. (mywedding.com) I think that you can increase the likelihood of success on your site if you can also list on sites that list your type of business.  Hope that made sense!

Hi Leon. I earn a full-time income from my site http://www.simplyeighties.com from promoting products for a commission such as costumes and confectionary, as well as from google adsense. The key is to provide good quality, original and interesting content with lots of pictures. It needs to be content that people will share and you need to provide better content than your competitors. As an example, the 80s Sweets page has been particularly successful and links to products at Amazon. You can also get the ball rolling by sharing on social media sites, and I have been particularly successful with Pinterest. Hope this helps!
