Hi Caitlin,

We're confirming this with SiteWit and will get back to you but we believe all visits are recorded, including your own.

Here's what SiteWit clarified for us Caitlin:

Sitewit will track the first visit from every IP and label it under "direct" on the dashboard as most users will type their website into Google directly rather than a keyword to generate an organic or paid click through.

Instead of tracking 1,2, 3 etc. visits for that IP address we break it into one unique visit and extend the sessions of that particular user ID (IP). So if you go into their website 7 or 8 times as is common with publishing and then making changes again, we count it as one unique visit with 7 or 8 different sessions so one visit is logged.

It is something called session stickiness and we follow the unique user around on that device instead of counting multiple site visits.
