Hi all! My site http://www.southafricangeographic.com/ is already a long time on line
despite new content and other efforts I don't seem to get a Google Page Rank. I like to
build more sites or do I waste my time? What can be the problem apart from no links to my site.
Getting Google Page Rank has nothing to do with the platform you use to build your site. I do see that your site is indexed, which is a great thing.
Page Rank has to do with how important Google finds a site to be on the Internet and this is calculated with metrics such as incoming links, and the importance of the site linking to your site, as well as traffic. When a site links to another site, it is like a "vote" in favor of that site.
The best thing to do is keep adding to your site and making it better as well as building links. You have a great topic and there are many sites out there that would like to link to your site as a reference point. I would suggest contacting other websites that have a topic where your site would be useful to their site visitors and letting them know about your site. One type of site that comes to mind is lodging websites in SA, as well as travel websites.
