Does synthasite allow's me to add a sitemap, if so how. Also when we add the google code in the "google webmaster code" do we have to do it for every page or just the homepage.

Hi

You can create your sitemap here http://www.xml-sitemaps.com/ and then upload it on your website. You will find all the details on the above link.

Have a look at my Sitemap on www.gadget-webstore.co.uk ( bottom right corner )

Good Luck

Hi Andy,

I like your sitemap. Clear and concise shows good planning.

Sitemaps have two implications I think. One is the visual representation for users navigation and something that is not so promoted by Synthasite the other is the "electronic sitemap" which is submitted and used by Google for indexing your website. Frequently there is some confusion on here on that issue.
Your graphical sitemap is great.

Hello Deathnote,

Synthasite support has produced an excellent tutorial on the topics of Verification and site map submission. Take your time and go through it thoroughly. It works well. The sitemap is generated automatically by synthasite so all you need to do wrt this is simply follow the instruction.

http://www.synthasite.com/tutorials/g...

Google webmaster instructions mention only adding the verification code on the index page but Synthasite publish the instruction to add it to all pages.

There seems to be a little bit of a question on that need but we do know that if you add it to all pages your site will be indeed effectively indexed by Google..

Hello,
Thanks Peter! Yes, please follow through the tutorial Peter placed a link to, this will step you through the process of verifying your site with Google Webmaster and submitting a sitemap.

It is only necessary to place the Google Webmaster code on your home/index page. And unfortunately, getting indexed by Google is a bit of a waiting game, and something we cannot guarantee a time frame on. But this tutorial will get you headed in the right direction.

Kind Regards,
Emmy

Would any of you happen to know how I could use Google Analytics. For some reason everytime I go to it, I have no reports. In the front page where it says "status" it says that "Tracking Not Installed". How do I install it?
