Does Yola allow the use of SSI?

Hey All!
I'm making something on my site that needs the users country and city, I can't find a script that can do this, so I decided that I might be able to achieve it by getting the user's IP and then convert that IP to the county/city. But I've found a problem, the script I want to use, uses Server Side Includes. What I want to know is, does Yola allow users to use SSI?

Thanks,
Callum Booth

P.S. I want to be able to do this through Javascript if thats possible

Hi Callum,

Yola does not allow SSI. You can find more information on these links:

I hope that helps!

Thanks for clearing that up Marije, I better start looking for workarounds, one thing though, if I host the HTML file that has SSI in it on another server, such as ftp or something similar, will it work then?

Hey Callum,

One of our awesome engineers has given me some code for you to use:

<!--
<script type="text/javascript">
function geoipCallback(data) {
alert('country code:' + data.geoplugin_countryCode +
'\ncountry: ' + data.geoplugin_countryName +
'\nregion: ' + data.geoplugin_region +
'\ncity: ' + data.geoplugin_city +
'\nlatitude: ' + data.geoplugin_latitude +
'\nlongitude: ' + data.geoplugin_longitude);
}
</script>

<script src="http://www.geoplugin.net/json.gp?json..."
type="text/javascript"></script>
-->

You can see an example on this link: http://iplookup.yolasite.com/.

I hope that helps!
