I had been a silver member for a year, I set up my domain name and now that my silver membership is up and my page expired the page doesn't load anymore. I was under the impression that the domain was free and the silver membership was just for perks I didn't know I was going to loose my domain name. I have business cards and other costly items with that name on them. Is there anyway to get it back or do I have to pay $100 a year just to get the domain name back?

You will need another Domain credit.

Your domain does not expire when Yola SIlver does. It all depends on when you bought your domain.

Hey, you don't really pay only for domain you also pay for hosting. But with yola you pay on yearly basis, so what you need to go is pay for another year for your hosting and domain if its not with yola.

hope that helps.

Hi Jennifer,

Your domain does not expire when your Yola Silver subscription expires. However, if you purchased both on the same day (i.e., purchased Yola Silver and redeemed your domain credit) then it is likely that they will expire at around the same time.

When you purchase Yola Silver, you receive a custom domain credit which, when you redeem, essentially means that you get a free domain. When you renew Yola Silver, you receive another custom domain credit which you can use to renew your Yola-bought domain, or purchase another domain.

Yola offers free hosting for any site built with our software. Whether you use a free subdomain, a domain purchased through us or a domain purchased elsewhere, there is no charge for the hosting of your site.

We are happy to investigate this further. If you'd like to mail us on, we'll be happy to do so. Please add "Jennifer GetSatisfaction" to the subject line, so we can refer to this thread.
