With Yola's new package and product changes, can you point a website created with the Yola Free plan to a domain purchased through Yola or vice versa (point a domain purchased through Yola to a website created with the Yola Free plan)?

Hello jae,

You can publish a free {mysite.yolasite.com} to a custom domain.
You can also publish a customised domain site back to a free site sub-domain {mysite.yolasite.com}

The ability to utilise a custom domain depends on a subscription to a paid for plan be it Bronze or Silver. The domain can be purchased through Yola or another provider. A domain purchased through Yola has a number of advantages for learning web-authors including total support by Yola support. The subscription through Bronze or Silver gives you the ability to do these things.

Buying a domain from an external provider only means that you have to point the DNS aspects to Yola's IP address, not a difficult process but a bit of a leap through new technical language.

Hope this gives you an overview. Anything else drop a message here.
