Domain Registration Errors

A number of our customers have experienced an error when registering their domain.

Tucows, our domain registration partner, released a change on their end that resulted in the registration process running extremely slowly. So slowly that it exceeded the time out limit of 30 seconds on our end. As a consequence the domain was registered on their side but not ours. We are working with them to get these domains released so that customers can retry their purchase. You will not be charged for the failed registration so you are free to try registering again.

We are also taking steps to ensure that this does not happen again. We will continue to update you about the status of this problem here and we appreciate your patience as we work through this.

I tried to redeem a free domain but failed. The message said that my transaction is declined. I already put all correct data to the form, including my credit card number. Can you tell me what's wrong?

I can't claim the domain name after the search says it is available. I end up needing to restart ther browser. running IE8

i was able to do this by using a link from a different area.

the domain name rahomeinspections.ca has been registered now. Thank you for your reply.

Glad to hear it John! I just want to confirm that you were creating a new domain registration not a renewal which is why you were able to register it and everyone else on this thread must still wait for renewals to be released for Get Your Business Online customers.

does this at all relate to an error with verification to set-up gmail?

No, not at all mk.mey. This is relating to Get Your Business Online customers who are ready to renew their domain but must wait for us to release domain renewals.

Are you currently working with a support agent in regards to setting up Google Apps? If not, can you tell me your domain name and where you are in the process?

wow only 30 seconds? Is that as fast as domains change hands? I have not been up to how to set up because I usually buy domain domain hosting provider in 1 package purchase. Previously I used to use a free subdomain blogspot with topics cara jualan di facebook
