Hi guys,

I have renewed my domain registration and received a message from TUCOWS (or someone) saying that my domain is locked REGISTRAR LOCK. They give instructions in the email as to how to unlock but I am unable to make it work. Can you give the info I need please?
Many thanks

Hello Andrew,

Was your domain expired before you renewed it? Sometimes, if it expires, there is a holding period before you can gain access to it again. If TUCOWS is the domain register, they would be able to give you more information about it.

Hello Andrew

Tucows is our domain registration partner. Can you please provide your domain name? What is it exactly that you can't make work, is the e-mail you received difficult to understand, or do you get stuck at some stage when you follow the instructions?

Ok have sent an email to Domain Registry demanding a refund as I believe it was false advertising as no mention was made about having to transfer from YOLA (which I don't want to do). I expect a quick response from them.

Hello Andrew

I'm very sorry that they managed to deceive you. You did the right thing by asking them for a refund. You should also let them know that from the WHOIS database you can see that your domain is not renewed, which is another reason why you would like your money back. From my experience they will refund you.

Keep me posted.
