I cannot get hold of anyone at support@yola.com. This is extremely frustrating. The payment for the domain transfer was already done on the 12th of February 2013. I never received an authorisation code of any kind.

This is not cool :-(

Hi Chantelle,

Could you confirm that you are referring to the transfer request of the domain europe4africa.com?

I have reviewed your previous correspondence with Yola Support and I am unable to find any recent requests from your email address. You mention that you are not able to get hold of anyone at support@yola.com, do you receive an delivery failure notification when you try?

I have reviewed your transfer request, and I can confirm that the authorization email was sent by our domain registration partner OpenSRS/Tucows on the 12 Feb 2013 to s.scheffler@telkomsa.net. The email is valid for 5 days, after which it times out.

Unfortunately the instructions on the email were not completed, and as a result the transfer timed out.

Could you let us know if you have access to s.scheffler@telkomsa.net? If not, we would ask you to change the admin contact of your domain at your registrar, and once this is done we will be able to resend the authorization email for you.

If you have any other questions please let us know.

Thanks!

Dear Jackie,

Thank you for your quick response. I do not have access to s.scheffler@telkomsa.net. Please send the authorisation code to that email address again and I will ask her to forward the mail to me.

I have never received an error report when sending email to support@yola.com.

Please confirm that you have resend the authorisation code to s.scheffler@telkomsa.net

Thanks!

Regards
Chantelle

Hi Chantelle,

I have resent the authorization email to s.scheffler@telkomsa.net. You can expect to receive it from our domain registration partner OpenSRS/Tucows, so please let us know if you don't receive it within 24 hours (and be sure to check the Spam folder).

Thanks!

Dear Jackie,

s.scheffler@telkomsa.net confirmed the authorisation email and I received an email from Yola that the domain transfer was successful. I checked my website and the revamped one was live, but when I checked this morning again my old one appeared. Did something go wrong or is this normal?

My website: www.europe4africa.com

Thanks for your help!

Hi Chantelle,

Thank you for the update, I am pleased to hear that your domain was transferred successfully!

The domain transfer was requested from the account chantelle@europe4africa.com. There is only 1 site on this account called "Europe4Africa", which is the site the domain is published to.

Do you have a second account registered to ronchan@web.de? I see that there are 2 sites held in this account, both called "Europe4Africa". The one site is published to: http://www.praktikuminkapstadt.de/

Is this the site that you want europe4africa.com published to?

Hallo Jackie,

I have a German website and an English website. The domain transfer was for the English one - chantelle@europe4africa.com.

I would like to have www.europe4africa.com published.
www.praktikuminkapstadt.de works just fine.

Thanks for your help!

Dear Jackie,

I have deleted the other website on ronchan@web.de to avoid confusion.

Thanks!

Hi Chantelle,

Thanks for this! So your domain is currently published to the only site in the account chantelle@europe4africa.com: http://www.europe4africa.com/. There are no other sites in this account.

Could it be that the English version of your site was created in your account ronchan@web.de (the site that you have just deleted?). If this is possible, I can reinstate your deleted site so that we can see if it is the one that you want to use.

Once we have located your site, we can always transfer your domain or your site from one account to another so that the different versions of your sites are housed in different accounts.

Please let me know how you would like to proceed.

Thanks!

Hi Jackie,

My English site is on chantelle@europe4africa.com and my German site is on ronchan@web.de. I am very sure about this.

If I log into chantelle@europe4africa.com and click on domain it says active.

The other site on ronchan@web.de that I have deleted is not relevant.

Thanks!

Hi Jackie,

This is so weird, my English website keeps changing from the old site to the new site and back to the old one.

Hi Chantelle,

When your domain europe4africa.com was hosted with your other registrar and pointed to Yola, was it pointed to the same site that it is published to now?

If it was pointed to a different site, I wonder if the domain's new DNS is still taking some time to propagate across the internet. I have attached a screenshot of the site that I can see. Is this your new or old version?

If the DNS is still propagating it should be completed within 24 hours and then your new site would be the only one available online. You can also try clearing your cache to speed up the process.

Hallo Jackie,

The screenshot you have taken is from my new website. Does this mean it is published and OK? I have also looked up europe4africa.com on our other computer and the old site is still there.

I am also experiencing problems with my incoming emails. Not sure if this is also due to the domain transfer in progress?

I will try clearing my cache now.

Thanks!

Hi Chantelle,

Thanks for coming back to me with this information. If you are seeing your old site on your other computer, then it is definitely down to the propagation of your domain's DNS. You should try clearing your browser's cache on this computer. If you are still unable to see the new version of your site on this computer after 24 hours please let us know.

If you have existing email addresses setup, they will stop working once your domain is transferred. You have full access to your domain's DNS settings and you will be able to reinstate your email addresses by following our tutorial: Creating email addresses with your domain purchased from Yola.

There are a few points to note:
- If you are using an existing email service where you are downloading your mail to your computer, you will need to change settings on your email program as well as on your domain in order to receive your mail. Because your mail is downloaded to your computer, you will not lose any previous emails or contact information.
- If you are using a webmail service where you are logging into a website to view your mail, you will be able to add the MX Record they require to your DNS settings once the domain has been transferred. For information on accessing your DNS settings: Managing the domain you bought from Yola.

If you require any assistance with this please let us know.

Thanks!
