I have two domains I purchased through yola, and I have assigned one as the primary domain. How do I redirect the other domain to my primary domain?

Hi BeShea Terry

You will need to add both domains to one site, then select one to be the primary, which means the other one will be the secondary domain. Have a look at this online tutorial for more detailed information: Assigning domains and creating a primary domain.

I should have stated this in the first post, but I did the tutorial. However, when I got to step four which states click on "assign my domain name to a new site" does not come up. The only thing that is on the page is "assign primary domain." My primary domain is www.noahsarkchristianacademy.net and it has been assigned since Jan 2011. It has the yola subdomain and the noahsarkchristianacademy.com (I purchased through yola) listed under domain associated. But there is no place to assign my domain name to a new site. Is this a function that can only be used if you have a silver account?

Hi BeShea,

From I can see, you have published your site to three domains: noahsarkchristianacademy.net, noahsarkchristianhomeschoolingacademy.yolasite.com and noahsarkchristianacademy.com.

From what it sounds like, you would like to publish another site to one of those domains. If you have not yet created your new site, I can suggest making a new site and going through the steps for that site's advanced settings. You should then be able to assign your domains to your new site.

I hope this helps!

I have assigned www.noahsarkchristianacademy.com to one site, but when I type it in the address bar it says this: can't find the server at www.noahsarkchristianacademy.com. So, I am trying to find out why it is not loading.

Hi BeShea Terry,

The reason why you're getting that error message, is due to the .com domain not pointing correctly. Please see this tutorial for more info.

Hello Francois!
Can you please explain one thing to me the tutorial stated this: If you have already bought a domain somewhere else, you can use it to publish your Yola site (only available to Yola Silver account holders or certain partner programs). You do this by creating A records (address records) to point to this IP address: 184.72.229.176.

However, I didn't purchase my domain somewhere else I purchased it through Yola, so why am I having this problem?

Hello BeShea Terry,

Francois is currently offline. I hope you don't mind me stepping in on his behalf. Thanks for that clarification. I took a look at your domain settings and it appears that it was missing some A records (which is a error on our side). I have added these back in. Please allow up to 24 hours for the settings to propagate. I apologize for the inconvenience that this has caused and please do let us know if you still do not see your site working by tomorrow.
