When clicking the "Publish to web" button a box pops up stating:
"We noticed you have a Custom Domain Name not yet connected to a site. Would you like to publish to this domain now?"

Below are two options:
1. No, thanks.
2. Yes, use a domain I already own. (With the drop-down box containing the custom domain(s))

Below those options is a selection box that states:
Don't ask me again for this site.

This selection box is not working. When the box is checked off you cannot continue to posting your site no matter which of the first two options are chosen.

I had this problem in the past recently working on some website ... can't remember exactly how I solved it but here are some suggestions:

1. Refresh page
2. Exit Yola then log back in ...
3. Make sure you are using Firefox browser (Yola recommended)
4. Wait ... a couple hours and try again

Ahhh I think there is another way ... check in My Yola if you can assign unused domain name to that site ...

if that fails...

When you go into the site builder of the particular site in question don't click publish this see if there is another way you can assign the site ... I think by clicking get a custom domain name ... under the current domain name that should be a yolasite.com domain name ...

You should be able to then choose the domain name you bought ...

Well, the domain it has right now isn't a yolasite domain, but the actual one that it is. So even if I choose no,thanks or choose the domain I have from the drop down box, it'll publish to the same place..
There isn't anything inside the builder to change the domain (even though there is nothing to change as it has the domain already).
I'll see if I can do something from the management thing.

So went to management. It tells me I have the domain associated with the site.. But then under it has a list in a drop-down box with un-assigned domains.. I tried to assign it to the site and it says it's already assigned to something..
Well then, that just got confusing..

Sorry, I'll try to explain that again then.

So, when publishing the site I get the two options:

1.No, thanks. (To use one of my custom domains)
2. Yes [choice in drop-down box] (To use one of my custom domains)

Either one chosen results in it being published to my custom domain.
The site isn't using a .yolasite.com domain.

Now, in the advanced settings from the my sites page shows my site using my custom domain. Under that though is a drop-down box which says "Un-assigned domains" with mine listed and then "Yola sub-domains" with xxxx.yolasite.com under that.

Now I tried to assign my domain, but it says "Domain already in use" (But it's under 'un-assigned')

Yeah, it confused me when I tried doing it.. So yeah, no idea.

Hi there Derek,

Unfortunately we do have a slight bug with the "Don't ask me again for this site. " button which our engineering team is currently looking at.

Are you wanting to assign your domain to another site in your account?

You can assign (publish) a domain to a different site by accessing the Advanced Domain Settings. Here's how:-

1. Login to your Yola account and make sure you are on the "My Sites" page.
2. Click on "Advanced settings" next to the the "Open" button.
3. Make sure the correct site name is selected on the drop-down list on the right.
4. Click on "Assign my domain name to a new site".
5. Choose which site you would like the domain assigned to.
6. Click on "Save".
7. Once done, you will be able to choose which domain is the primary domain and the one the other domain will redirect to.

I hope this helps.

If you read the reply above yours you'll understand the problem I'm having when I try to do that from the advanced settings.

Hi Derek. I understand the the problem. We have reported the bug and hopefully we will have a solution soon. In the meantime could you drop me an email to support@yola.com (mark it for my attention) and let me know which domain you would like to apply to which site and I will either do it myself or get some engineering assistance if I am unable to.
