I still need help understanding the drop down menu options, html code links, etc. I only know WYSIWYG web design like Yola. ANYTHING that starts talking code and inserts and I am lost! I, too, would be willing to pay someone to do this for me, and also to walk me through the process once or twice so I can learn to do it and maintain the process myself later.

Hello KK,

I don't think there is any need to pay someone for this teaching/learning. Many have come through here and started with no knowledge, simply a desire.

I guess it depends where you would like to start and see where it takes you?

Sounds like a logical start point would be a Drop Down Menu Code that you may have in mind.

Give us the lead and we'll take it from there.

Hello KK

I'd like to echo petercsea's comments. I think our community is great for helping others and we certainly want to help you. If you have an example of a Drop-down menu that you'd like to try and use on your site, we can then give you ideas and walk you through the steps of implementing onto your own site.

Hello Juliana,

This is best approached with a selection of your preferred styles of menu that you have come across. The methods vary widely and not all are so suitable for Yola built websites.

I would suggest that you look for HTML types including CSS,Jquery and javascript creations. I wouldn't go for the Flash created styles as these are unsuitable for many mobile devices and Flash is quickly being replaced by other systems.

Once you have such a list then if you can publish it here and we can look at this and go forward from there.

Me too! I desperately need a drop down menu and I'm not even that fussy about the style really. The one I like though can be seen here:
Can someone walk me through how to achieve this pleeez? I'm not code savy!

It's quite difficult to replicate this with Yola sites. Yola have a sub-menu facility which works well and is associated with premier styles. You need a Silver or higher hosting subscription for this. The Tutorial for this: Creating Submenus

There are other options but not what you have linked to, unfortunately.

Hello Amber

We're working on offerring drop down menus to our users in the near future. If you can wait, you will be able to add them to your website easily on your own.
