Hello Alex

Your post just displays the heading "Drop boxes". Can you please detail your question, so we can assist you? Please note that we can only help with Yola-related requests. Thanks.

Are you referring to a drop down menu to appear when you hover over an element of your website? This can only be achieved through advanced custom coding. I'm afraid that we can't assist with this, but you could request one of our power users to offer you a solution.

Hello Alex,

Another question.

Do you have the Yola Online Store? This facility is accommodated by the Store itself as a list of categories each of which is "clickable" and then leads the buyer to he sub-selection. The Yola Onliine Store is well worth considering as a way of setting up a store on your website

If it's an ad-hoc store then you can create a menu item with drop downs or a "Store" menu item which leads users to the store and then they can select the category of clothing items. It depends on how you are setup and how you wish to navigate through. Category items on your primary menu drop-down can be a trap as this can quickly become a drop down list which either intimidates users or interferes with the usability of your site.

More than happy to take this further if you wish.

OK.

Have you created your web pages yet? If so can you publish it and tell me the site address. I can then look at it and we can work on it.

I've had a look Alex.

May I ask specifically how you envisage the Store selection sub-menu?

Is it by category and if so what categories are you considering?

Hello Alex

I think your description of what you'd like to achieve pretty much matches our Flyover Menus feature. When you're using a free or recommended Style, you can have the name of a page in your navigation menu, and then create sub pages for this main page. These subpages will display in a drop down menu when hovering over the main menu link on your site.

In order to do this, create the main page, then create the sub page. Check for both "Display in navigation" when you're creating them.

Once done, go to your Page Manager:
  1. Click on the "Page" tab.
  2. Click on "Navigation". You're now in the Page Manager.
  3. Make sure that your sub page is positioned right below the main page. You can move pages around by using drag and drop.
  4. On the sub page, click on the green indent arrow to actually make this page a sub page of your main page.
  5. Save and check in Preview by hovering with your mouse over the menu link of your main page. You will see a pop-up menu with your sub page.
You can assign multiple pages as sub pages to a main page.
