Many thanks in advance. Lee.

Hi Lee

This is an excellent question. I am glad you asked it and I hope many people will read the answer!

Your domain name is currently configured to work with and without the "www". So there is nothing further you need to do. You do not need to create a new A record or CNAME or republish your site.

It is up to you which link you share as both will work equally well. I encourage you to use http://hexham.info: it is easier to remember and quicker to type. The "www" prefix is superfluous and professional site builders tend to drop this from their URL's. See this excellent article on the subject: http://fragments.turtlemeat.com/www-d...

thanks Monique - i'm sure the last time i put in only hexham.info it took me to a search result page, however saying that, at that time the site was not published to www.hexham.info only to the synthasite subdomain i had, www.hexham.info was 'forwarding' to my synthasite subdomain, would that make a difference?

Either way thanks for your quick answer. I was expecting a day of work to get it done, i am very happy, Lee.

I am not sure if anything has changed since you last tried, but when I type hexham.info into the address bar of my browser I get to your site. Just be sure that you are not typing your domain name into a search box by mistake (in which case you would get a search results page) and all should be well. Good luck with your site!
