I would like to set up a free customized e-mail for my website. It requires from me some verification steps which are unavailable for us here. But I wonder if I could use another one - change my domain's CNAME record. The question is: will it affect my A records pointing to Yola?

Hello Jack

Changing the CNAME record of your domain should not affect your A records, however, changing A records or nameservers would. May I ask you what e-mail you'd like to use?

Hi Stefan. At the moment I am experimenting with google free e-mail (that particular one is office@cleaning4s.co.uk) but the domain is in process of changing from webforwarded version to DNS A records pointed to Yola. So I have erased CNAME temporarily until it's finished and I'm sure it won't affect A records.
