Is there a way in which i can email posts to my site to automatically be posted? Either to the site or the blog? And then in turn is there a way to automatically post to twitter with the title of the post and a link?

Hi Christiaan

There isn't a way in which to email blog posts to your site. The only way you can update your blog on Yola, is to add the posts via the Sitebuilder. Take a look at the Creating a blog post tutorial for more details.

You can tweet your website updates when you publish site changes:

  1. Add your blog post and save the changes.

  2. Click on the green "Publish to the web" button.

  3. After your site is published, you will see the Twitter button that allows you to tweet your latest changes via your Twitter account (see screen shot below).

Hope this helps!

HI Nazlie,

thanks for the response, however I am already aware of those more time and user intensive methods of posting. I was thinking more along the lines of someone who is currently pushed for time (new and small businesses always have a lack of this - as you're tending to be out with new clients, new business, meetings, networking etc, and usually don't have a full time staff contingent to source and update new posts etc)

the thinking behind the question was as follows - so that one could sit over a weekend and put together a list of posts which would be assigned to each day of the week - for new content, and then once posted it could be linked to twitter to create further awareness amongst followers.

This has worked extremely effectively on my sister-in-law's site where they are using wordpress and a few plugins.

I understand that Yola is a simple, easy to use editor to build sites with, and its been fantastic so far, so this functionality would be a great tool to keep people to jumping ship to different formats/site/host etc to publish to the web.
