Ed - Question about corner peel? Previous threads not working!

I've come accross two threads as to how to create a page peel...

http://forum.yola.com/yola/topics/get... - the website on this thread indicates clicking the corner page peel to get started, but this corner peel is non-existent

and this thread... http://forum.yola.com/yola/topics/fre... indicates going to www.dougbelshaw.com/peel.zip which pulls up a 404 message and the dougbelshaw.com main page has no links referring to such a thing.

Are these free options to adding a page peel unavailable or are you able to provide me with what I need to do this?

I want to try adding my own advertisement on my homepage like to my online store, donate now, or maybe as simple as my browse topics page. I then want to try advertising for companies throughout my whole website using a corner page peel whereas the products would be relevant to the page it's on.

I found one source that required a javascript (.js) extension to be uploaded into file manager, but I believe this is only available with pro membership? which I do not currently have (but maybe in the future).

Help on advertising with corner page peel please if you're feeling generous :) I don't want to take up too much of your time if you don't want - if you have a source that can do the talking for you, please provide me with such sources. :) I'd appreciate any help from you and anyone if possible.

By the way, added a dispute, discuss, add to, and cite option to my site (not on all pages yet) - feel free to check it out.... just below the table of contents - http://youcanneverbetoosmart.com/agri...

Try this: http://www.123-banner.com/peelbanner.php
It worked quite well. See it in action at: http://www.testvillage.yolasite.com/t...
In order to get it at the top right corner, add the code to the html in a text widget. This will allow you to mess around with the margins (under properties) You must also not be using the top navigation that comes with the template you're using.

thanks for that source diane...

Why can't you have a top menu when you use that? Won't the peel be above the banner not even interferring with the menu?

I'm not sure. I used Squeaky Clean and had to take all the pages out of the menu before it would work--not sure why. Maybe it's different for different templates?

nope, if you read the thread, it states the dougbelshaw.com/peel.zip doesn't work.

I read through other threads to figure this one out before posting this thread, none of them worked.

however, that's a download of files to include javascript. Until I purchase Yola Pro, I am unable to host javascript files, by any chance, are those files hosted on another site?

Donald,
I use http://www.sigmirror to hotlink to js files. You will get a link and just put that link into the html portion.
