Hi

I have titled a page as Contact . Then I played around with a dummy page calling it Test and managed to iintroduce a form from the widgets . Great I thought I will just retitle the Test page and delete the original Contact page to save messing about .

Now I can go to page Edit Menu and change the text and the floating but that doesn't seem to change the page name as it appears in the tabs in edit menu . So I am left knowing that for me to alter anything on the Contact page I have to seek out the page in the tabs which is marked as Test .

Not major just annoying

Any help

Hi cotes

To change the heading of the page, click on "properties" on the far right of your screen. You will see an option to edit your page heading.

Let me know if you have any difficulty locating this feature

Hi Monique

I don't think you can have a life ! I was expecting at least a few hour or days delay.

Right... tried that but in the properties box I only get the site name ( which is the title running through every page at the very top ) appearing. So I have Window Title - site name , Description -blank , Page Heading -site name ( again ) .

Hi cotes

The Page Heading is the same as the site name by default, but you can edit it in the properties sidebar.

I just reread your question and if seems that your initial approach was correct and using the edit menu should have updated the page name in your menu. (Sorry it was late at night) Can you tell me what browser you are using as I am beginning to suspect that you are experiencing a bug.

The other option is to use "save page as" in the Site menu. This will save a copy of your page and you can then delete the one with the incorrect name.

Let me know if this works for you.

(see there was a delay this time: I do sleep from time to time :-)
