Edit shop search result page layout

How do I edit my shop's product page in search mode to be grid view and a set number of products?

Currently my main products page defaults to grid view and I've set the number of products to show at 21. All fine.

When a search is done though the results show in list view and only 5 products at a time. I'd prefer a grid and a longer product list but can't find where to edit this.

Site is www.lovelytocu.com

Hello Shawnna,

The Ecwid KB on their Product Browser should help with this requirement

btw: You have done a fine job with your site. Congratulations.

Thanks! I've read the Ecwid KB already and believe the instructions don't apply to the Yola setup? It gives details for altering the shop integration code which I don't believe I have access to, at least not that I can see.

All the changes I've done have been through adapting the CSS in my theme but I'm not talented enough to write my own code so can't quite figure out how to do it for this (is it even possible to do it?)

On a trial page of your sitet try adding the script to an HTML widget where you wish your Store page to show on the page.and ignore the Yola Online Store widget just for this trial page. You will need to generate the code with their generator so have your Store ID ready and the layout config clear.

This is a backdoor entry to the store code.

Hello Shwanna,

Glad that worked. You obviously have an intuitive understanding of how it sort of comes together.

One thing to check and this may be really important, is to see if the products within that trial page, or similar, actually appear in the XML map page. This is important for SEO to allow people to discover a specific product on your site through a search engine. Yola have only recently developed this capability so I really don't know if this alternative configuration passes the products into the XML map of your site. Prior to this development, products weren't visible to the search engine robots.

Hoping that Emmy or Stefan, Yola CS people, may have some insight into this.

Hello Shwanna,
Regarding what Gop mentioned in the above comment with the sitemap, your products should be in the xml sitemap for the search engines to see and add to their index. I did look at your sitemap and I don't see any products in there as of yet, I'm thinking you possibly haven't re-published your site since we made the fix to add products to the sitemap.

Can you re-publish your site and when you complete this let me know here and I'll take another look.

Thanks,
Emmy

Thanks Emmy, my site has been re-published many times over the past month as I've made updates but I've done another 'publish' for you.

I hadn't checked the sitemap before specifically but had noted that my shop products had been indexed by google and show up if I do a sitemap specific search.
