Hello Justin

This is a bug. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. The correct yearly price is £70.

When I tried to locate your Yola account in our system, I only found a deleted account. Have you got another Yola account and could let us know your login e-mail (not your password) or your URL for us to investigate, please? Thanks.

Yes i have a different account now, Does that mean if i now purchase it when it says £7 a year you have to sell at that price under the trade descriptions act. But rather than going down that road and i have bought it to your attention, can i have it free for a year as i have potentilly saved you thousands of pounds :-)

Hello Justin

Actually it's not an error on the price, but just a glitch of labelling, instead of "year" it should display "month". If you click on the Purchase button, you will not get Yola Online Store for one year, but for one month at the price of GBP 7.00. So I must disappoint you that you didn't save us a fortune, but nevertheless we are grateful you pointed this error out to us.

We have located your Yola account under enquiries@... where you tried to purchase Yola Online Store, and if you write us an e-mail from this account to support@yola.com, we will be able to work out something for you. Thanks.

I have also discovered that the online store through ecwid is free for under 100 products so why have you charged me £7 for the first month?

Hi justin,

Like Yola, Ecwid does offer a limited, free version of their online store and we are happy to explain why the Yola Online Store isn't free.

Ecwid offers three different plans: Free, Silver and Custom. The Yola Online Store is the Custom version.

The Ecwid free option excludes many of the advanced features that the Yola Online Store offers. For example, the Ecwid Free package does not offer discount coupons, stock control for options, protected e-goods download links and more. For a visual comparison of the features included in each plan, visit Ecwid's "Compare Plans" page.

The Yola Online store offers the full set of features, and also includes access to Yola's award-winning customer support. By integrating Ecwid's online store into My Yola and the Sitebuilder, we've made it easy for you to manage your store.

We feel that the cost of the Yola Online Store is extremely reasonable considering the powerful features you have access to. In addition to this the cost of the Yola Online Store is substantially lower than than Silver or Custom plans offered by Ecwid, thanks to our special partnership agreement with them.

The Ecwid Free package does offer protected e-goods download links.

How E-Goods work
Customers can add digital products to their carts and go to checkout in the same manner as if it were ordinary products. After the order, containing such a product, has been processed, Ecwid sends an email notification with the download link to the customer. Also the customer can download the product from the order details.

Ecwid will send a notification with the download link only when the order gets Accepted or Chargeable payment status.

This feature is available for all Ecwid users.

Most users wouldn't need: discount coupons, stock control for options and many users will have under 100 products. Then the Ecwid free plan wins by most criteria. There are also some inherent advantages of the Ecwid plans (Free to Premium) like multiple customised stores and variable user display of products. the setup with Yola though is much easier but the finessing is more difficult with the toing and froing from Ecwid to your site whereas with Ecwid native you can safely have both opened and simply switch views to do what you wish to do.

My suggestion would be for people in this grouping with 100 products or less to subscribe to the Ecwid free. If you subsequently need the other features or your store grows then switch over to the Yola Online Store. You can carry your products and all entry data across by simply downloading the inventory/catalogue as a CSV file which is produced by a button push on Ecwid then upload this into your Yola store. It's fast, its easy and it gives you the insight of what you may really want with your store.

You can also use a Free Yola for the free Ecwid store and plans and the free plan then works out at over 100 dollars cheaper per year than the upgrade subscription through Yola. You don't need the Silver Yola to run the Ecwid Free or Silver plans. (at this stage :)

Hello Justin

I'm sorry, but I'm really confused now. Can you please write us an e-mail to support@yola.com (to save your privacy) in which you list all your Yola accounts plus their different login e-mails, so that we can tell you which of them are deleted and which are active? Yola never deletes any websites or accounts, so if any of them is deleted, it must have been done by you or any other user who has access to your account. Once you know which accounts are active and which deleted, you can decide yourself which of them you want to keep and which you want to delete.

Concerning your payment details stored with us I replied to you on your other thread.

In terms of your online store I'm happy that you found the solution that seems to suit your needs best. I presume that I can now visit your shop and get all your products for free as well? :-)
