Hi Lisa,

Unfortunately, we don't offer an email facility at moment, but it is definitely on the roadmap. It is not scheduled yet, which honestly means it will not be released in the next 2 months or so unless we change our plans. But as a user you have a strong vote in how we make our plans - thank you for asking and if others have the same request please respond and let us know.
We are very interested to know what kind of email service you are after - would you just want a single account with a web interface, or are your needs for something more than that?

There are two alternatives available, create an email link in your site or add a Wufoo form. Chose the one that works best for you.

Email Link - When visitors click on this link an email will open up in their default email program with your email address already filled in.

Here's how to do it:
1. Drag and drop a text widget onto your page
2. Type your email address
3. Highlight your email address
4. Click "insert link" on the text editing toolbar (this icon looks like three links of a chain and is located between the "font highlight" and "insert image" icons)
5. The link editor will open - enter your email address in the third block
6. Click on "ok"

Wufoo offers both free and paid options, so you can select the option that is right for you. When someone fills in your form their message will be stored in your Wufoo account and you will receive an email alert to let you know that you have a new message. You will find the Wufoo widget in the "Forms" folder in the Content sidebar in SynthaSite.

After dragging and dropping a Wufoo widget onto your page in SynthaSite, click on the link in the dialogue box sign up for the account with them if you have not already done so.
Secondly, follow these steps on Wufoo:

1. select the form you wish to use
2. click on save form
3. the form manager will open up
4. click on "notifications" - enter your details as to where you wish the info to get sent to (ie. your email address)
5. click on save
6. click on save settings
7. click on code
8. copy and paste the code in the Wufoo widget dialogue box in SynthaSite

Your Wufoo form will then be embedded on your page and you can begin collecting information from your visitors directly from your website!

Regards,
Kershnee

Hey Yola, I just set up my basic site, but wondering if it was worth it. Very unprofessional to have an email address that is different to the web address. Will have to go elsewhere.

Hello steve,

I'm sorry that you're frustrated and would like to work with you to see if we can bring satisfaction. If you wish to have email associated with your domain, you can certainly do this but your domain does need to be a custom domain. Once you've purchased a custom domain, please have a look at Creating email addresses with your domain purchased from Yola.

I hope that is helpful. If there are any questions or clarification needed, please do let us know.

Thanks Sanja, managed to get it all to work with google. No longer frustrated thanks to your quick feedback. Bit fiddly to do and not easy to get the answer on the Yola site without your link, but fantastic for a free service. Has also opened up all the possibilities that google apps seems to offer. I will look forward to exploring and learning more. Thanks again.
