Email link changes address when you try to send an email!

Hi, I have an unusual problem! If you click onto my email address link on my contact page from another computer, the email box that then comes up to type your message into has a incorrect email address and not the one it should be which means that a failure email notice comes back to the sender saying it could not be sent. The email facility works correctly if you type in the address from the usual mail box (composed as a new email) but not using the link. My email address is info@yourhighstreetstrikesback.co.uk but the link (which is the same as above) opens up as info@thehighstreetstrikesback.co.uk. I do not understand how the correct email link can change to another one! Your help would be much appreciated. Thanks. Marc P.S. My website address is www.yourhighstreetstrikesback.co.uk

Hello Marc

This happens because when the link for "info@yourhighstreetstrikesback.co.uk" was created, the e-mail address "info@thehighstreetstrikesback.co.uk" was added to the Link Editor.

I can see that the subdomain name for your website is "thehighstreetstrikesback.co.uk", so maybe you still had this name in mind and entered it into the Link Editor by mistake?

Anyway, you can correct this easily: Just go to the Text Widget with the e-mail address, highlight the link, click on the "Link" button in the Text Editing Toolbar, and enter the correct e-mail address into the field provided in the Link Editor. Save and check in Preview if it's working.

If it still doesn't work, please let me know, and I'll check further on this issue for you.

Thanks very much for that Stefan. All is okay now. I knew it must have been something to do with changing the website name (Casio have 'The High Street Strikes Back' trademarked unfortunately!) but wasn't sure what to do!
Regards, Marc

I'm happy to hear that all is working fine for you again, Marc. Interesting what you mention about Casio. I hope they will be fine with you using your new name.
