My domain name was recently transferred to Yola, but I kept my email service with my previous hosting company. Since our website switced today, my email is no longer working. I called our email provider and they said I need to contact you to make the mail records point to their service. I can't email you this problem since I don't have email service. :) Please help!!

Hello AmandaM

Once you have successfully transferred your domain, you can then set up your email! Further instructions can be found here.

Please let us know if you have any trouble with this.

Thank you for your response, Sanja, but this does not help my problem. We have email service through an independent provider, not Yola mail. Our tech support at this other company said that certain features that deal with the email at our domain name have to be set to a certain IP address and other things like that. Is there any way to receive phone support?

Hi AmandaM,

If you have transferred your domain to Yola then it is most likely that you will need to change your DNS back to what is was for the email when you added it the first time, the transfer would have changed it.

Could you please tell us what your DNS needs to be changed to and we can assist you with adding it.

Many thanks for working with us on this.

Thank you Jeremy, that is what the other company told me as well. He said the mail needs to pint to a record at DNS 204.27.195.166 and the mx record needs to be set to barracuda.4w.com.

Hi Amanda,

I was unable to locate your domain in our database. This could be because of 2 reasons:

1) the domain was misspelled in your previous post
2) your domain transfer has not been initiated yet

We look forward to helping you with this, Amanda!

our domain is christumclinc.org. It has to have been transferred (even though I don't have email confirmation), because the site that I have designed with Yola is currently active at christumclinc.org. The above post (barracuda.4w.com) is not our domain; it is what the mx record needs to be set to.

I figured it out on my own since I wasn't getting anywhere with your tech support. Hopefully I don't need assistance again anytime soon, since you don't seem to readily respond.

Hi AmandaM,

I'm so sorry we were unable to address your problem in a timely manner. I see there was some confusion and completely agree your case was not handled to our usual standard of excellence.

I'm so glad you were able to add the records you needed and am terribly sorry for the delay in email service due to our confusion and misunderstanding of your domain and the status of your transfer. You are of course completely correct that christumclinc.org has been successfully transferred to us and is fully operational. We're thrilled to hear your email is now as well.

I regret we were not of more help to you in this case but I hope you will give us another chance to prove to you that our reputation for stellar support is warranted with any other account needs you may have going forward.
