Email problems - setting up smtp outgoing server with IPhone

I have had Yola for a few years now and continue to be frustrated that NO ONE has been able to help me set up my outgoing mail server on my IPhone. I can receive messages IN but not send emails OUT! You would think since SO MANY people have IPhones that they would set up instructions on how to set up your outgoing mail server. Yola always says go to Apple, Apple says go back to Yola & they have no clue how to fix. I hate running my business this way. If anyone knows how to fix, can you email me at laura@labellacupcakes.com?

Hello,

This does sound quite frustrating and you must feel like a monkey caught in the middle.

I am going to have our Yola Mail specialist have a look at this to see if there is anything we can do to assist with this issue.

Please allow him 48 hours to follow up with you.

You responded to this problem 12 days ago and said someone would get back to me within 48 hours and as usual, no one has contacted me regarding this problem. You would think that SOMEONE at Yola would be able to answer this problem seeing that you ARE hosting my website. Obviously something is set up right because I can receive emails on my IPhone. Why can't I send??????

Hi Mike,

I can only begin to imagine your frustration with our lack of follow up. We agree this is fully unacceptable and I am investigating why we never received a notice of you needing followup from a specialist. I will update you if I learn anything.

In the meantime, I want to confirm if you were able to follow the iPhone set up successfully for both incoming and outgoing email set up. I have included them in their entirety below:

Please follow these steps to add Yola Mail to your iPhone:

Go to "Settings".
Select "Mail, Contacts, Calendars".
Select "Add Account".
Select "Other".
Select "Add Mail Account".
Fill out the fields:
Name: Your name
Address: mailbox@yourdomain.com
Password: Your password
Description: Description for your mailbox
Click "Next".

It will then take you to a screen where you can add your mail server information:

Incoming Mail Server:
Host name: mail.yourdomain.com
User name: mailbox@yourdomain.com
Password: Your password

Outgoing Mail Server:
Host name: mail.yourdomain.com
User name: mailbox@yourdomain.com
Password: Your password

Click "Next".

It sounds to me like your outgoing mail set up is incomplete. If you did go through those steps, did you receive an error of any kind?

Please be assured that I have contacted our Yola Mail support specialist on your behalf and asked him to follow up here as a matter of urgency on Monday. I'm so sorry to have to request further patience from you and I have issued you a refund for one month of Yola Silver while we work to address this.
