Emails sent from my site to the members are indicating (sent from yola.) I have a yola email account for my site, and I want to indicate (sent from my email name) instead yola. How can I change that.

Hi Dean,

From what it sounds like, you would like to change the "from" field when you send mail from your Yola Mail account.

Here's how you can do this:

1. Log into Yola Mail.
2. In the left hand column, under "General", click on "Mail".
3. In the field called "Name", change the name you would like your emails to come.

I hope this helps. If it doesn't resolve the problem, please provide me with some additional details, such as where on your site the mail is being sent from (e.g. from a form submission confirmation), and if you don't mind sharing your website address on the forum, you can provide that as well. If you would prefer not to share your address, you can mail support@yola.com, and I can assist you from there.

Hello Nichols

Is it possible for you to post a screenshot to indicate where you're seeing this and then we can offer some suggestions.

Hello Dean

Thanks for posting the screenshot!

It is not possible to change the From Yola as the form is being sent from our Yola database to your email. You are the only one who will see this though. Your visitors will not receive this email. The message your visitor will receive is: Your form has been successfully submitted! Thank you after they've submitted the form on your website.

I have a small “contact this person” form next to profile info on the member page on my web site. Each form sent the message to the individual’s address. The recipients will see From Yola, not fantasy times, I’ve come to find out that one persons, not knowing that it was from my site. (spammed) the emails I have sent so far. That’s a “Little bit” of a problem for me, any suggestions?

Maybe you could have those messages get e-mailed to you, and then your forward it to them. (But then it wouldn't be a private message.)

Or explain this problem to them, if there are only a few people.

Hi dean

If you are using the Yola Form to create the "contact this person" form, then the emails will only be sent to you. The form emails are sent to the address you use to login to your Yola site. When you forward this email on to another person, you can change the subject line from your email so that the recipients know that it is coming from Fantasy Times and not from Yola.

Will this help?

Or you could try using a form creating website and paste the code they give you on your site.

Thank you for your replies. I don’t know how to change the code, I guess, I will notify the members of my site that the responses will be coming from yola.
My other question is how can I deleted the banner or decrease the size.

Hi Dean,
I believe I do see what you are saying. It looks like you have multiple forms created and as far as I understand, you changed each of them to have a specific email address by accessing the "Settings" tab in the form, so each form on your site is being submitted to a different email address. Am I correct in saying that, I just wanted to make sure that we were all on the same page.

In regards to the email coming in from the yola email address, no-reply@forms.yolamail.com, unfortunately there isn't anything we can do to change this for the reasons Sanja explained a few posts earlier, so when the emails come into the people receiving them from your site, they will see this.

The size of the banner area is determined by the style can cannot be changed. If you would like to have this area smaller, I would suggest taking a look at some of the other styles available as most of them differ in the sizing of the banner area. To look through the styles you can go here: Yola Style Gallery.

For more details on how to change the style of your website please see this tutorial: Changing Styles.

Please let us know if you have any further questions.

Kind Regards,
Emmy

Thank you for your suggestions. By notifying the members that emails will be from YOLA I think I will be OK. As of the banner, I find a template I like, but the banner it’s a little too big I would like to make it either smaller or deleted. Somewhere on the questions area I have seen how to change the HTML, but I can’t find the topic.

Hi Dean,
In regards to the banner image, this is something you can adjust with Custom CSS. This feature is available for our Silver customer. Are you a Silver customer?
