I have uploaded the .swf file in my Flash folder and it seems to be able to run by itself:
http://jfotography.synthasite.com/res...

However, when I use the HTML widget and paste the following code inside:

...nothing shows up on my page even after I save and update:
http://jfotography.synthasite.com/gal...

I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.

Thanks for the help.

<object width="660" height="560">
<param name="movie" value="resources/Flash/JetPhotoView.swf">
<embed src="resources/Flash/JetPhotoView.swf" quality="high" width="660" height="560" align="middle" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflash...>
</embed>
</object>

Hi JF,

Apologies for the delay in replying to you. Your site is beautiful!

I've tested your code with one of my own flash files (not JetPhoto) and it works, so I think it could be something with the actual flash file. It may be worth contacting JetPhoto to find out if they have any advice for you.

One of our developers has suggested this code - I have not tested it on my side, so it may or may not work:
<!--
<OBJECT classid="clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000"
codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/sh..."
WIDTH="550" HEIGHT="400" id="myMovieName"><PARAM NAME=movie VALUE="myFlashMovie.swf"><PARAM NAME=quality VALUE=high><PARAM NAME=bgcolor VALUE=#FFFFFF><EMBED src="/support/flash/ts/documents/myFlashMovie.swf" quality=high bgcolor=#FFFFFF WIDTH="550" HEIGHT="400"
NAME="myMovieName" ALIGN="" TYPE="application/x-shockwave-flash"
PLUGINSPAGE="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflash...>
-->

Don't forget to replace the path for your file with "resources/Flash/JetPhotoView.swf"

If anyone else has any suggestions, please jump in!

Hey everyone

I played around with this one last night and yes the code used does indeed work but it does not work with the .swf file that is in his/her file manager. As well your developer code is not functional either.

I wonder if you could take the .swf file and place it in your file manager in no folder. Simply upload it directly into your file manager. It seems the likely culprit but I will check this theory out in the morning.

Here is the flash he/she is trying to place on their page...
http://jfotography.synthasite.com/res...

As you see it does in fact work.

I downloaded the program that was used to make the image presentation and will in the next few days in my free time find a solution if the file manager one does not pan out...

Happy site building
Ed

Thanks Ed - we also tried to find out why this wasn't working - it's a bit puzzling when the link to the resources works and yet it doesn't work with the code!

I have also tested it in a folder as well as the File Manager directly and it works with either path.

Appreciate your help :)

Hi everyone,

I have tried the developer's code, and it doesn't work either.

I have also tried moving the files to my file manager without a folder. The same thing happens.

I'll try contacting JetPhoto to see if they have any advice.

Thanks so much for the help!

Just an update:
I've tried embedding another .swf made with JetPhoto using the same code and it works:
http://jfotography.synthasite.com/gal...

The only difference between this .swf and the one I want to embed:
http://jfotography.synthasite.com/res...
is that the one I want to embed also accesses other folders containing images, sounds, etc. I don't know why it would make a difference though.
