Is there any way to expand the naviagtion bar on your homepage? Basically the problem I am having is that the navigation bar drops to a second line because there are two many tabs so I was wondering if there was a way to make the margin of the navigation bar larger so that it stays on one line.
Thanks for your message. With Yola Free, the font size, color and location of the navigation menu is set by the style you have chosen and cannot be changed. However, you have the option to create your own navigation using either text or image links. Here are the steps to do this:
1. Remove your pages from the menu: click on Page > Edit Navigation and drag the pages from "Pages in the Navigation" to "Pages out of the Navigation". Doing this will hide your default menu.
2. Now create your own page text links in a Text Widget and place it where you would like to position your new navigation. You can do this by adding text, highlighting it and clicking on the link button on the text toolbar. Now link to the specific page on your site. You can format the text links using the Text Editing Toolbar to change color, normal/bold/italic text, text size and so forth.
If you are interested in upgrading to Yola Silver, the custom CSS feature allows you to perform many tasks like this one.
If you don't want to spend the money on Yola silver, you can change to a template that allows there to be two or more lines of nav links. I use CleanSlate on my site, and i have a two lines of nav links at time of writing. It works quite well and doesn't affect the rest of the template.
