Expansion and Disqus Needed

I want to expand my first post to make it easier for my readers. However when I do this, there is no Disqus box or Like button at the end as there is when I collapse the first post. How can I expand first post and still have the comment box and Like readily available for readers?

Hello Maridelbowes,

I am not sure if you can get your comments to display without clicking on the actual post. Would you be able to share your Blog URL with us so we can take a look at it?

You can edit your blog settings in Your Blog manager.

If you wish to change the way that your blog posts are displayed on the page, you need to do the following:

1. Click "Edit" on the left-hand corner of your Blog Widget. This will bring up a "Customize your blog display" option and you will be able to make your selections there.
2. You will then be able to select the number of posts displayed on the first page, or whether to expand all posts, the first post only, or collapse all posts.

I hope this helps. Please let me know if you need further assistance!

Thanks, Jeremy. Here's my blog url: http://www.evolvingjourney.com/blog.php
I did change the way the blog was displayed today and that's why the question arose. In the past, when I had all blogs collapsed, the Disqus box was available at the end of the blog post. Now, with the first blog expanded on the page, the Disqus box is nowhere to be seen. How would people know they had to click the title to get a comment box?
Thanks, Maridel

Hello Maridelbowes

We suggest adding a Text Widget with instructions to your readers with a blurb explaining that they need to click on the blog title to leave comments. We know that this is not ideal but we hope you can use this suggestion.

Thanks for the reply, Sanja. I think I'll just go back to the collapsed version so it's obvious what to do.
