External vs. embedded css style sheet

From what I've read online, external style sheets are preferable to embedded style sheets.

I just noticed that sometime in the last three months, Yola has changed from the external style sheet, named "index.php?renderPaletteCSS=", to an embedded sheet.

It looks like the code was cleaned up some, which is good. That could have been done without changing it to embedded though. I'm curious why it is no longer an external style sheet.

Hi, I don't know why they switched to embedded either. I am sure there is a reason. Maybe so we can change the background of each page individually and not the whole website?

Hi there Margie,
Unfortunately I am not quite knowledgeable enough on this topic to give you a proper answer.
I will ask one of our technical staff to give you a reply when they come online.
