Hi Julie

I have just tested the Facebook "like" button on my test site using this code:

<!-- <iframe src="http://www.facebook.com/plugins/like...." scrolling="no" frameborder="0" style="border:none; overflow:hidden; width:450px; height:80px;" allowTransparency="true"></iframe> -->

The Like icon is displaying as it should on my site. The code I am using is the one on this link: Like Button (Facebook Developer's Page).

Would you mind pasting the code you added to your site so we can test it, please? Please add <!-- and --> around your code so that it displays in the forum thread.

Thank you
Nazlie

Hi Julie

Thanks for adding the Facebook code here. I tested it and it is working on my test site.

Would you mind sharing your website address and telling us on which page you have added the Facebook link?

Hi Julz,

Thanks for sharing your domain. When looking at your site, I do not see the Facebook code added to your site. Please go ahead and drag a new HTML widget onto your site and add the code one more time. Please remember to save this change so it can be applied to your published site.

We will gladly continue to look into this with you if needed.

Hello Julie

I have added a Facebook Like to your site. Please take a look within your Sitebuilder and let me know if this suits your needs? If so, then you can just click on the green "Publish to the web" button.

The code for the "Like Box" seems to not work at this time. I see the same problem just a white area. This is happening with both the Xfbml and the Iframe.

The Like Button is a separate function and works.

Julie I wonder if this may be associated with the pre-release? I have the same thing since i converted to the pre-release. The problem is that you can't revert back to the old style. I think that we may have to wait it out until it's in full release. The instructions are very confusing. I also presume that you have an App ID by registering your site? This was a requirement for the old but not mentioned with the new.

Hi Julie

Sanja has added the Like button on your page. After reading Gop's comment, I realized that I had been testing the Like button. Do you want to add the Like box on your site?

If that is what you are trying to do, you can find the code here: Like Box. You will need to add your site's Facebook URL for the Like box to show up.

Thank you
Nazlie

Hi Julie

Great that we are finally on the same page! :)

If you go to the Like box link (see my comment above), there is a field in which you will need to add the Facebook URL of your site's Fan page. Have a look at this example:

I hope this helps!

you just need to put the address of "your" facebook page in the top fill in box before you get the code.

Nazlie's post above has it circled in red. when you open the developers page to get the code, it defaults to the platform address. change it and you should be set.

I have it on my site, but be aware, visitors must be signed into a facebook account to see it. I also added a regular image link that will take them to a fb sign in box.

You can see the end result here:

p.s. the image link is done in the site builder, with the same address of your fb page.
