Facebook plugin and picture link

I have some questions for some problems that I am having with my website:
I cannot make a comment on the Facebook pulgin without going into edit (I was previously able to do this)
On my links page, I have a link to Training peaks online training log. The picture you see in my site that enables a username and password to be typed, does not provide the link when the login button is hit. This is because I have had to put in another picture to create the picture widget (this picture is minimised). This picture is obstructing the ability to login.
Can I link my Yola mail mailbox to my gmail address?
Thank very much for your help.

Hello Richard

To answer your questions, I'll need some more information:

1. Facebook comments: I'm not quite sure what you refer to, do you mean our Facebook Comments Widget? Has is stopped working on your live site? Or are you trying to use it in your Yola Sitebuilder because you say you must go into "edit"?

2. Can you please provide your URL for me to check it and find your Yola account in our system?

3. When you say you want to "link" your Yola Mail mailbox to your gmail address, do you want to redirect any incoming e-mails of your Yola Mail mailbox to your gmail account? If so, you can easily add this to the settings within your Yola Mail account. Log into your Yola Mail account, click on "Settings" in the top right corner, and add your gmail e-mail address to the "Forwarding" field. Enable the forwarding below by choosing the desired option. Click on "Save". Your e-mails should now be forwarded to your gmail account.

Hi Stefan,

1: Yes, I am refering to the Facebook comments widget. I cannot post a comment on the site without going into the builder in the edit button of this widget. This did not used to be a problem.

2: www.cpt-coach.com

3: Thanks for this one

Richard

Hi Richard

Thanks for coming back to me. On which page of your website did you add the Facebook Comment Widget? I've clicked through your whole website, but couldn't spot it. Or is that part of the problem? Please let me know on which page you'd expect the widget to display, and I'll be happy to check it for you.

Otherwise I can see that you've added the Facebook Like button to many of your pages. This widget won't allow comments, only the Facebook Comment Widget.

The Facebook comments widget that was loaded was in the 'news' page. I have never seen it not displaying, sometimes it takes a little while to load.

I also have a problem with the Training peaks login link on my 'Links' page. I was given a code by the Training peaks company to produce the link box. However, I have had to put up a random picture and then reduce it down in order for the login box to appear as this is through the picture widget (cannot be produced through text widget).

Because of this, the box appears, but longing into the linked site does not work because the random picture is interfering. Is there another way around this?

Thanks

Hi Richard

1. Facebook Comments Widget
I was able to see the error you're reporting, and I suppose that there must be something wrong with your Facebook Comments Widget. You can actually still comment, but the Comment Link won't show. If you move your mouse over the area where the link is supposed to display, your mouse pointer will show you that the link is still there, but invisible. The other error is that the widget won't display something like "9 comments", but only the down arrow for showing a menu with display options. I have logged this issue for our specialists to look into. To make it easier for them to check, I have created a test page on your website which is not linked to, so no one can see it. You'll be able to delete it again after the problem is solved. I'll update you on this thread as soon as I have news on this matter.

2. Login box
If Training peaks gave you custom code to embed into your website, you can't add this code using the Picture Widget. You will need to use the HTML Widget, and paste the complete code into the HTML Editor. Can you please try this and let me know how that goes?

Thanks Stefan,

The HTML widget for the login box worked perfect.

Just to clarify, I should take no action with the Facebook comments widget until Yola has looked at the problem?

Many thanks,

RIchard

Hello Richard

I'm happy to hear that your login feature is now working as designed.
We've found out that the current Facebook Comments Widget error is a general issue, and we're busy working on it. Thank you for your further patience.

Hi Stefan,

I have a few more things that I would like to resolve on my website.

www.cpt-coach.com/

*Firstly, on the home page, I have inserted a Facebook facepile into a HTML widget. Some of the time when you look on the site it is there, some of the time, it is not.

*Are flyover menus available yet on Yola Gold?

*Any word on the Facebook social plugin situation yet?

*Not all of the videos from my You tube channel are displaying, just some of them.

*I cannot get the Tumblr widget to work.

Many thanks for your help on these issues,

Richard

Hi Richard,

Stefan is on holiday and won't be back for awhile but I'd like to try and help if I can.

Regarding your Facebook widget, I'm not familiar with it and we aren't able to support third party widgets. However when code is displaying erratically it's often due to a missing closing tag that some browsers correct for and others do not. My first suggestion is to ensure that you have copied the code exactly as it is written, and if you have, I would take a look at it to see if there are any missing tags that helps to address the problem.

Flyover menus are available on all styles that do not support a second level navigation. It's not determined by account level, rather the style you select.

I do not have an update on the Facebook issue Stefan logged for you. I will touch base with him on this once he returns.

Are all of your YouTube videos set to public?

Can you tell me more about what isn't working with the Tumblr widget? At what point do you experience an error and what is the message you see?

Hi Richard,

Your site is up when I navigate to it. I have attached a screenshot for your reference. Did you check out Down For Everyone or Just Me? to see the status there?

Checking Down for Everyone... or another site availability service is a good way to ensure your website is functioning as it should. You can then begin further troubleshooting to determine if you are experiencing a browser issue or an error due to bad code, etc.
