Is the Facebook Publishing option just a portal to my site or is it a stand alone 'Facebook' site?

Hello Dave

Facebook Publishing means that you publish an adapted version of your Yola website to your Facebook (business) page that you have created in your Facebook account.

This enables your Facebook visitors to visit your Yola website without having to leave Facebook, and to do everything they'd do on your Yola website, such as shopping in your Yola Onlineshop, using your Contact Form, etc.

Fore more information please see our tutorial Facebook Publishing.

Successfully published my Yola site to Facebook. Can't figure out how to change the Yola branding, to a graphic that indicates my own website. Please help. None of my clients will know to click "Yola" to get to my site!

Hello Reisa

You've got a point! This is a necessary default setting, but of course you can change and customize it.

Here are the steps:
  1. Log into your Facebook account, and click on "Home" in the top menu bar.

  2. In the left-hand side column, click on the name of your Facebook Page to which you published your Yola website.

  3. On the top right, click on "Edit Page", and choose "Admin Roles".

  4. In the left-hand side column, click on "Apps".

  5. In the "Yola Website Builder" section, click on "Edit settings".

  6. Next to "Custom Tab Image", click on "Change" to edit your image.

  7. Next to "Custom Tab Name", enter your name, and click on "Save".

  8. When you're done, click on the "View Page" button at the top to check your changes.

Thanks, Stefan, and I feel a little silly. It was actually pretty common sense. Thanks for the detail!

Hello Reisa

No worries! I must say that I find this a bit complicated about Facebook as well, and it took me some time to figure it out a while ago myself. But I'm happy that you have managed to work with my instructions, and that you could customize your link, well done!
