Feature Request: Blog page "save as"

I have seen in the tutorials that currently, the "save as" feature does not work with blog pages. This is unfortunate as I would really like to change my site's homepage from a blog to a regular web page without losing (or having to repost) all the blog posts I've done over the past year.

Is there any plan to extend this feature to blog pages?

Also, until then, is it possible to install a warning of some sort when a person sets the index page as a blog? (i.e., Warning! You will not be able to change your homepage to a regular web page without losing your blog posts -- snazzier wording, of course) I might not have chosen to use a blog page had I realized I'd never have the option to change it.

Thanks for your consideration!

You may be able to add regular widgets to your blog page, and then you can edit your navigation, changing the name of your blog page page to home or whatever. Then move that page to the top in the "Edit Navigation". Click Save/Ok and then see if it works. You probably want to check with a Yola Employee to see if this works, as I have never tried it.

It has been decided that our blogging platform is currently a low priority for us.

So, feature requests related to the blog will not be taken into consideration at this time. However, we will continue to add to our list of things to consider when we are able to make blogging a higher priority.

I am really sorry that I don't have better news on this, and I do understand if you are disappointed, but I hope you will be able to work with it the way it is.

Yola makes it possible for you to include a basic blog page with your website, should you wish to do so. However, if your main interest is in blogging and if you require advanced blogging features, your needs would be better served by blogging specialists such as Wordpress or Blogger.

We apologize for the inconvenience. Please let me know if you have any further questions.

As for warning message, I can see how this would be a beneficial feature. I will pass it on to our development team for future consideration.
