Hello. I make cross stitch kits to order from people's photographs etc. I can do tapestry and embroidery ones as well. Please have a look at my site. I need feedback how to make it better.

What a unique product concept Poppy!

One thing I would suggest is adding more product images in a structured way at the top of your homepage. It's a bit text heavy and your images are scattered in a way that it's not instantly clear what you have to offer. You may want to try our custom panel widget to help you better organize and break up your pictures and text.

Thank you. I'll try that. Meanwhile I have created a new website for my dance school. Check it out on hilarysaxbyschoolofdancing.yolasite.com

Hi poppy
The first site looks really good so couldn't think of much but i think you should try and limit the navigation bar to one line and possibly add the social widget 'share me' at the bottom of the pages.

Not really sure what to suggest for the second site. Its perfect :)

Yes, I think you are right about the navigation bar. Maybe I need to limit the number of pages and then have a list of links down the side. I don't know about the social widget but that sounds great. I'm going off to look at it now! Thanks Justin.

Thanks! Actually I just put the social widget on the Home page but because of the layout I can't centre it. I suppose it doesn't matter. Also do you have to do it separately for each page?

Hi Poppy

Option 1

you could use a column divider (by sliding the middle line) but it might be pretty hard to get it perfectly centre.

Option 2

You could find the code for a social widget (search google for 'social widgets for my website')
and paste the code into a html widget on your site

Option 3

you could also add a footer to appear at the bottom of all pages of your site

this is the facebook one (just follow the instructions for 'Step 1 - Get Like Button Code'

and then choose the i frame code from the popup which gives you the code.

copy that and add it to your site footer by going to

'site'
'site settings'
'site tracking code'

paste the code into the footer section

if you want the facebook one click here

https://developers.facebook.com/docs/...

and go to the first part which will generate the code

Yes, I've done that but it centres it in the column not the page, due to the layout.

This is getting very complicated. I might try the footer thing but don't have time right now. I have to get some work done!

i know how you feel as yola isn't very flexible on layouts.

the footer option is best but is harder to see, if you need any help with it just go to my website and submit a contact form (i dont want to publicly display my email address) :) i can then get back to you in more detail if you should need it.
