Wow, Andi - great site! Yet again you are showing the flexibility that Yola offers for customizing beyond what some may feel is possible.

I especially enjoyed the colors you have chosen on your site. They are easy on the eyes and tie in very well with one another. I found myself smiling at simply how fun of a site it is (not to mention informative).

One thing I did notices was that your interactive route map produced a 404 page. Other then that, keep it up! Thanks for sharing :)

Thanks Brianna,

I hope it inspires other Yola users! I shall sort out that 404 issue, I have named the page wrong!

Thanks for the feedback on the colours, I spent a lot of time coming up with a set of suitable colours and found those to be the clearest and most relevant.

Once again, thanks for the feedback!

Kind Regards, and have a nice day :)

Just to confirm, I have updated the links there and changed the links at the bottom of the page so that they work!

Very impressive, Andi. Is the bus company one of your clients?

Thanks Jean,

Yes the bus company are one of my clients, my first infact. I initially designed their website backin 2010 but with Yola CSS and the like, I re-designed it and all of their print timetables.

Once again,

Thanks.

Hi Andi,
I like the layout of the site - use is very intuitive. What seems to be the most important information is at the top few inches of the site. As you scroll down the details are well arranged in your orange tables. Many sites forget about the need to maintain attractive design from top to bottom.

One thought is you could make the words "Feedback tab" (in your welcome message) open the feedback tab. My first instinct was to click on the word "Feedback", before I saw the orange tab to the left.

Another thing to consider is adding an icon or a link from your logo that goes back to the home page. It's visible in the dropdown menu, but a lot of viewers are likely to click the Shamrock logo expecting to return to the home page.

Like Brianna, I could not open the interactive map. The View our buses online and Download the BIG bus timeline also didn't work. I'm using I.E. 8 from a PC, if that helps narrow the problem.

That said, your site is a fine example of useability. Hopefully a good number of web designers will run across it.

Your site suggests that you are a professional developer, so maybe this is something you're already doing: Have you considered counting the hits on each page? I've found it helps back up your choice of page placement, since you can compare page importance with the number of hits, and number of links away from the main page.

Keep up the good work,
-Nate

Hi Nate,

WOW! Thanks,

There's a lot to get through, I shall start from the top...

Thanks for the praise on the layout and design, it too appreciate the importance of getting the information out to you directly. I therefore reduced the size of the banner image and reduced the top and bottom margins of the nav and the content-top variables.

I shall try to add the changes regarding the Feedback tab. It is a Get Satisfaction tab so I should be able to find out how to do that. I shall also add the Logo to the banner so that people can link to the homepage. That is a very good idea that I overlooked.

The issue with the buttons is that I mistakenly used a <!--- <a> ---> tag which was applied to a styled button. I shall change this so that it uses the Submit value. The a tag works on Chrome, Firefox but obviously not the dreaded IE! I think Brianna's issue was the fact that the page was named wrong, Yola employee's tend not to use IE and use Firefox, Chrome or Safari as they are more advanced browsers.

Thanks for the praise, I too hope that a number of web designers come across it and discover what you can do with the Yola Sitebuilder. I am a professional web designer (www.mangopearmedia.com - my company). I use Google Analytics to provide me with the most upto date Analytics, I also use Webmaster Tools, which has provided me with lots of information to implement good keywords and meta data.

Thanks again for the detailed feedback, it is really delightful to hear such good praise about a website!

Kind Regards,

Andi North
