Saw a video tonight that made me feel more urgent about feeds. Any forecast on when and if we can do feeds from Synthasite sites?

Hi Bengo

I have posted an example of a way that you can create your own RSS manually.

Essentially all you need to do is create the feed on your computer, upload it to the file manager on SynthaSite, and then link to it!

See the tutorial here

1. Finally installing this and having a few hitches. Is filename.rss.xml the correct ending?
2.Is it OK to load this with WORD XML protocol, as there is an advisory NOT to use Word with formatting, but there is no other way to upload the file that Synthasite will accept?
3.What should I do about the file appearing as a ? in the files menu? This suggests the wrong appellation.
4. The link described above -- where do you envision it being placed in a typical application (what site, what page) to confirm what I think? It would typically go on the home page of the site you just made the link for, right?

Hi Bengo.

1.) filename.rss.xml should do the trick

2.) Word is probably your problem - it does a whole bunch of stuff behind your back. I would suggest rather copying the text from the example above into Notepad and then editing it.

3.) Don't worry too much about how the file manager renders the document. It should be fine.

4.) if you named the file: filename.rss.xml and uploaded it to the file manager, and your site is: http://www.scratchinpost.synthasite.com/, then the file you uploaded should be available at:
http://www.scratchinpost.synthasite.c...

Hope this helps. let me know if you have any further questions
