If you have a gazillion bookmarks land saved passwords ike I do, you will want to use this...

Run mozbackup - "backup"

Select bookmarks, and saved passwords only. The rest may be corrupted and are easily reset. It's best to start with the default settings and a clean slate on the rest.

Under the "unknown" tab, use your judgment - I un-selected all... again, those settings are easily reset.

Completely delete Firefox 3.0.7 from your control panel.

Run a cleaner if you have it... is a good one that's free.

Use IE and go here for past versions...

Download FF 3.0 from file hippo, install FF 3.0

Open FF3.0 and check that it's OK. Then close it.

Run mozbackup - "restore" selecting the profile (probably "default") that you just made.

Open FF 3.0 and all of your photos, bookmarks, and saved passwords will be there.

Go to "tools" then "options" then "advanced" and turn off auto updates.

(I tried it with FF, but the bookmarks didn't load. I've loaded and deleted FF at least 4 times in the last day or so trying different versions - 3.0 seems to be OK)

Hope this helps.
