This has to be the best Open Source vector graphics editor I've ever found on the net. I couldn't believe a package this good could be available for FREE, and it reminded me of another great (FREE) offering called Yola, so I just had to share :-)

The program is called Inkscape. It's an Open Source vector graphics editor, with capabilities similar to Illustrator, CorelDraw, or Xara X, using the W3C standard Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG) file format. You can download it here: http://www.inkscape.org/

I've just spent the last two weeks learning the package and redrawing my nine provincial maps. I'm just so chuffed the way they have turned out. Tell me what you think so far? http://travelsa.cc/

All these graphic editor programs seem "buggy" for me LOL
Someone here mentioned something about writing some Gimp tutorials a while back.
Can't remember the name now, but I think it started with a "J".
Anyway, I'll just have to battle along on my own ;-)

Any word on how to put these into Yola? I have only gotten error messages, I believe YOLA has not set the MIME type on the file to xml.
I was able to load the graphic only by putting it inline but that doesn't work for the background of the page because I don't have access to the HTML directly.

Thanks!
Daniel

Hello Daniel

If the code needs to go the source HTML code of your Yola website, I'm afraid that it's not possible to access this area of your site for security reasons. You can only add code inline to HTML Widgets or CSS to your CSS editor.
