Fixing Problems at your own end.

I've notice a lately a great many people are having problems with signing in/logging in to their sites. I have never had this problem happy to say for as long as I've been with Yola. (Be clear that this is not a Yola sponsered post, it's me).

Most of you probably just need to do so basic things...
Clean your registry, remove cookies, remove internet temp files, clear your cache, scan with anti-spyware and/or AV software. WATCH OUT WHEN YOU USE SOME FANCY SYSTEM TWEAKING SOFTWARE! These can mess things up!
Don't say your new OS and computer are not the problem, I mostly use Vista_OS which is famous for all kinds of ceasing, crashing proccesses gone wild, CPU usage 100% for no reason, the list goes on. But I stay on top of it, REGULAR MAINTAINENCE!

Hey I still have my old Win98 computer running and its faster in some apps that the new ones.

So try the above mentioned and maybe some issues will vanish.

Hi Frank . . .Glad you brought this up and I will add some of my experience also.

Just cleaning cache a couple times a week will keep a great deal of the problems many are having from happening.I do recommend using software like CCleaner as it is free, does a great job and will clean all browsers at the same time.

Widgets are another area that I think does cause a great deal of problems. People find widgets all over the web and just add them to their sites thinking it is perfectly fine...This is a big mistake as bad code or less than honest widget creators can cause major problems. Many widget makers make money adding links to their widget and you could be linking yourself to gambling, po rn or known attack sites containing malware.... This is a great way to get your site banned from being indexed in search engines.

Make a test site....Yola gives us the ability to make free sites using a sub domain...Use this as a tool you won't be sorry.

I have been here over three years now and I too never have had a great deal of the problems others have. There isn't any such thing as 100% up time or problem free anything but what real problems I have had were usually short lived.

Hello Frank and KanThaiDecor

Thank you very much for your support, important hints, and words of understanding. And rest assured that Yola will never sponsor any posts on the Support Forum. ;-)

From our side I can tell you that we aren't able to replicate about 95% or more of all errors reported by users. A few of them turn out to be errors on our side after further investigation which we start working on immediately, but it's true that most of them will be on the user's side.

However, we will always take each user seriously who reports an error to us, and right now we're busy working on the currently known issues. We will always do our best to ensure that every Yola user can make full use of the products we offer.

Thank you for pointing out the general trouble-shooting steps and sharing your background information. It really helps and is a good feedback to know for us as well.
