Flash animation, instead of an image in the banner?

I've been wondering, would it be possible to convert
a .swf file to .gif animation for the banner image?
I know gif animation works - Check here http://rfparts.synthasite.com/
As far as I know gif only supports 256 colours but this won't be a
problem for me.

I've seen a few sites advertising this (Just type swf to gif converter) in
your google search bar. Has anybody tried any of these programs ?

I know Monica asked the question before but I thought I'll start a new
thread and see if anybody has any new ideas?

Just follow a thread I posted here to use the flash banner intro maker. I had thought to do the same a while back but chose not to. I will play with the thought again later I am sure.

After you use make your banner you can save it as a swf, gif and another. But the gif files can be quite large. Just make sure it's not over 5mb

Here is the thread. Post something on the thread to keep it up at the top and usable to others here.

I would skim the whole post because I put some useful stuff further down.

If you wish to make something like what you showed the other site did I would use Firefox but for a simple one you can use the flash banner maker I just showed you then save it as gif

I did see the post. Thanks for all the hard work over the weekend.
I printed it out as well. Been studying it all night. I don't want to download the package just yet till I'm sure what I want to do. Didn't know it could also save as gif.
I'm scared I might take more than the 30 days to figure it out.
I also don't have adobe fireworks.
