I would like to make a few words in a text box flash or do something to catch people's attention. Anyone have any suggestions?

This site looks like it will work, but it does not show me how to do it, just the codes. Can I do it with words that are in a text box? Can anyone tell me how to do it?

Thanks for your help!

Im confused. Do you want people to show you how to make the codes?
And yes you can do it in words that are in a textbox.

I actually like the word selections from the first post, so if there is still anyone out there who can tell me if I can use them in a textbox and how, I would greatly appreciate it!

The ones that he has on his site are for use in HTML widgets and not text widgets

If you happen to like one then

1) Select and copy the code from the corresponding box next to the text animation you want
2) Paste the code into a blank Wordpad document
3) Where it says "Your words here" or "Your text here" enter the words you wish to appear
4) When complete and after editing highlight the entire code and copy
5) Drag an HTML widget onto your page where you wish your text to appear and paste the code into the HTML popup box
6) Update and view in your browser

You can adjust the width, height and font by changing the variables within the code. After a few attempts you will have it I am sure of it.

Happy site building

Thanks Ed, that is very helpful for the future. I guess I am learning not everything can be done that I want done. Unfortunately the words are right in the middle of my text and need to stay there. If anyone out there knows of anyway to do this within a text box I am sure I am not the only one who would love to know.

In Word you can add animation but cannot copy and paste it to Synthasite. It only copies the words. Any ideas there?

Well Actually animation does copy. If you paste it into a blog post.
And Katie Yes the site code can be copied into a text document. When you double click a text box on the top right corner

I intended to make my slideshows move slow. I set them in my slide account itself. I set the motion in "Slow". But you can adjust its speed in my page itself, just click the + or - sign, or even pause for a while, click the stop button located in the slideshow. Thanks for the tip Mr. Ed, you're the best ever....

I knew you had slowed the slideshows down ;) I didn't start using a computer today (tongue sticking out) ;)

I was referring to the amount of time it takes for your pages to load and the fact that the slideshows on the page slow down the text of the new screedbot. That tells me that there are too many resource hungry features...

You are one of my favorite people you know that ;))) Always so chipper and full of good vibes and warmth... Don't ever loose that

Yeah but it looks like Katie chose scrolling text to make it work for her...

Glad she found what she wanted and it works for her.

I am going to use this one somewhere sooner or later.

Ed: I like the screedbot to. Of course I went on the site and could not figure out how to change the colors like you did. I just saved it to my desk top but then did not know what to do with it next. I am feeling very useless!

Hey Katie

I was in your shoes not too long ago too you know. Here is a site that you can
1) Pick the color you wish
2) Copy the 6 letter/number combination
3) Paste it into the color box on the screedbot site.
4) Type in your text and choose your font size
5) Adjust the size
6) Click "Screed"
7) after your image is generated click "Your computer" or right click on your new image and click "Save as"

Once you have it saved on your computer just upload the image to your sites file manager...

Here are the colors to choose from

Yes, I did get the e-mail. Double clicking the HTML was the fastest way. Going to Notepad, etc. just sounded like a lot of work.

Thanks from the amateur!

Grace, I have to agree with Ed, your site is really looking great.
Don't know if you noticed but I added your site A while back.
You've made so many changes I'll have to take another screenshot lol.
http://forsite.synthasite.com/website...

I've been playing around optimising pictures to make them more web
friendly, and couldn't help noticing this discussion between yourself and Ed.
I took the liberty of copying one of your largest pictures to see how
I could optimise it - and here goes.
I used FastStone Photo Resizer (It also does batch resizing)
They have a few great products which I use all the time.
http://www.faststone.org/ And Its FREE..

Size before = 1865 kB
After = 117 kB

As you can see this is a massive file size reduction and without any
loss in picture quality. (I only used the programs default settings)

P.S. On your home page, Is it possible to slow that 3 frame animated GIF down a bit?
