Flickr Gallery/Lightroom

How do I add a Flickr gallery to my website? It says to add the Flickr gallery URL, but it doesn't seem to want to play! Probably something I am not doing as usual, but any help/guidance will be gratefully received.

I also use Lightroom, which has various templates for slideshows. Can these be used with Yola websites? If so how?

Many thanks

Hi A,

Please follow the steps in this tutorial in order to add a Flickr gallery to your website. If those are the steps you are following and it's not working for you, please let us know where you are getting stuck and if you are seeing an error message so we can assist you further.

Regarding using Lightroom galleries, we are not integrated with them so I did a little research and based on this post it looks like you can create a gallery but as indicated in step 12 FTP support is required to upload it which Yola does not support.

I don’t use Lightroom so I may be talking rubbish here but I notice it says:

“To use a separate FTP application for uploading your files, or to generate a gallery for offline viewing, you can first export the files. When you click the Export button, Lightroom creates a folder containing HTML files, image files, and other web-related files. If you’re saving a Flash gallery, the necessary SWF files are included. The folder is saved in a location that you specify”

It may be possible after generate a gallery for offline viewing you will be able to create a new folder in Yola and upload everything to it from your computer Lightroom folder. You may need to edit some address links to the Yola folder for things to work but I think it might be possible.

As I say I don’t use Lightroom but I think it might be worth a try.

Let us know how you get on.
