I was wondering, with Flickr lightbox, is there a way to change the order of the pictures that comes in? I've noticed it comes in at random, or is it just the way I upload them into flickr?

Thanks.

At the moment, the way that the pictures in the Lightbox is displayed is random and it's not possible to set them up in a particular order. I'm sorry I don't have better news for you on this one.

I am not sure if this will work for you but I uploaded my pictures in flickr in the order I wanted to see them on my website and when I went to my site they were in the correct order.

Sorry Angela.. I wish I had a way for this to work for you. But, as far as I know, Flickr randomizes the photos.

We can't order. But we can choose which photos by giving your email address which u signed up at flickr , to yola.
Then, you've to upload photos to flickr. That's over.

There is a feature in flickr that lets you organize your sets in the order you want. The problem that I'm seeing is that Yola is not displaying all the photos, it leaves one out sometimes, or puts it in the wrong order. This is quite annoying.

Flickr has an option to load the items alphabetically within a set - they display correctly on my flickr page but incorrectly on my Yola site. I am liaising with Flickr about this

I spoke to Flickr and they say that the bug lies with Yola and they cannot control the order of the images on another site...

Hi Angela - if that is the case then it needs to be logged to be fixed on our side. Another alternative would be to use a gallery that they provide and embed it on your site using the HTML Widget. I'm not sure if they offer that option though...

Hi Angela,
At the moment, the way that the pictures in the Flickr Gallery is displayed is random and it's not possible to order them. In the future, we hope to release a photo gallery with more options to control how your photos are displayed. I will make sure our engineers are aware of your hopes for this.

I was having the same problem, but was able to solve it by embedding the images in a slightly different way. If you go to your flickr photostream and view the image set you want to include on your page, you will see a "slideshow" link. Click on this link to display a slideshow on the flickr website of the photos in that set. Then, there is a link in the top right corner of the slideshow that says "share", if you click this you will be able to copy some html code that you can insert into your website using Yola's html widget.

This will display the exact same slideshow on your site, with the photos in the same order that they are in on flickr (change the order by re-ordering the photos in the image set). Visitors to your site will even be able to customize the speed of the slideshow or view it in full screen.

Hope this helps!

That's a really nice idea Michael Burgess. I am definitely going to play around with that on one of my test sites.

Here is an example: http://www.caravanpacific.ca/demoliti...

When I originally made this page with the flickr widget, the order of the photos was all wrong. This works out pretty well I think.
