I want to add a flash based photo gallery to my website. Specifically I would like to embed a Picasa 2 generated HTML page with associated flash and image files into my site.

I plan on placing a bunch of small images (66) into the root folder, but i dont want to make the file manager space into an unmanagable mess. Is there a way to make folders inside the file manager?

If there isnt, it would be really nice to be able to make folders, upload archives (no bigger than 5mb of course), unzip archives and move files between folders.

That is a really great point! I can tell you that we have some very strong advocates for folders in the file manager within the SynthaSite team and there is a shared understanding for the need for this feature. As more and more of our users upload large numbers of files the current file manager is proving inadequate in the way that you describe.

We want to add folders and filters to the file manager to improve our user experience in this area, so look out for this improvement in a future release.

Best wishes

I agree. All of us who use quite a large number of files/photo's could really benefit from this. I notice the original post is 2 months old. Any ETA on this implementation?

Hi Thrundar
Deciding what feature to deliver first is always a challenge. We are busy with some very big features at the moment, but we have not forgotten the need for folders in the file manager. Unfortunately I don't have a date for you right now, but I will continue to bring this need to the attention of our developers.
