Is there a way to change the font in the blog page to anything other than the standard one set up when you insert a blog into your website?

Hello, you can use CSS to do this. I would need to look into this and then I can get back with you with the code to change the colors to whatever you want.

Hello Craig,

Thanks for your post! At this time, the Text Editing Toolbar in the blog does not have have a font style change feature like the Text Widget. You can change the font style, but this will require changing it through the HTML. Here is how to do this:

1. Click on the "Edit HTML Code" icon on the Text EditingToolbar; it is the very last icon.
2. For the text you would like to change you can use this code. Where you see "courier", that is where you can put the font style you would like to use.
<span style="font-family: courier">This is the text you would like to change.</span>

Please note that not all fonts are web safe, this means that some browsers will not be able to display certain fonts. If you look at the list of fonts that are available in the Text Widget, this is a list of fonts that are web safe.

I hope this helps, Craig! Surely let us know if you need further assistance.

Kind Regards,
Brianna

When you insert a blog page into your site you cannot even get in to the html to change the font feature, this is what I was trying to ask. Is there any way to change this, if not I can look elsewhere to insert another type of blog??

Hello, you can add an HTML widget though. So you can add custom HTML to your page. See this tutorial for information: Adding HTML

The HTML Widget is in the "Basic" category of the side bar. (Click "Basic" to open it up)

Hope this helps.

Hello Craig

When you add a blog page, in your blog post, you should see an HTML button on your blog's Text Editing Toolbar. This will allow you access to your codes and you change your font as needed.

Please let me know if you have any further trouble with this.

Hi Craig

If I understand your question correctly, you would like to change the headings on the blog page, e.g. "Categories", "Tags", "Archive" to the Georgia font.

There is a way you can do it using some CSS and HTML. Here are the steps:

1. Open your blog page.
2. Drag and drop a HTML Widget onto your page. Hint: If you add it near the top, it is easier to find if you need to edit it in future.
3. Paste this code into the HTML Editor:

<!--
<style type="text/css">
h2.blog_widget_title {
font-family: "Georgia", serif;
}
</style>
-->

Remove the <!-- and --> from the code above.

Hope that works for you! If you need more help, please let us know.

Thank you
Nazlie

Hello Craig

The easiest way to do this is to change the font for the whole body. Here's the code:

<style type="text/css">
body {
font-family: "Georgia", serif;
color: #5dc4d3;
}

</style>

I hope that helps!

Hi Craig

I think I got it this time!

Try this:

<style type="text/css">

h3 {
font-family: "Times New Roman";
font-size: 22px;

}

</style>

I think I've tried this before, but it's worth another try.
font-family: !important; Times New Roman; font-size:22px;

Otherwise try...

<span style="font-family:Times New Roman; font-size:22px;">Your text here</span>

Sorry, I haven't been following this thread from the beginning and I've never used Yola's Blog. Hope I'm not barking up the wrong tree.

Who's Bloomer, Haha ;-)

This should normally override the page's CSS (I think).
<span style="font-family:Georgia; font-size:22px;">Your text here</span>

Just not sure how it fits into the Blog thing.

Hey Craig

It might be that Georgia for some reason does not work with that comment box. Here's some screenshots of the various fonts which affected the title:

Times New Roman:

Comic Sans:

Courier:

Hello Craig!

Just wanted to let you know that I have not forgotten. I have been attempting to make it work in your Sitebuilder but so far, luck has not been on my side. I have a couple of other ideas to try!
